Object Drawing cours at BUTE Faculty of Architecture - Departement Freehand Drawing, lead by Associated Professor Balazs Mehes PhD 2011 Fall, second trimestre.
Sitting around and among simple still-life settings, composed of fresh fruits (brought from land called: Goed) and drapery. Aim of the first drill is to get aquanted with composition rules and sketching technique . Object distance is short (less than 1 m). Natural horizon is at on chair seating person’s eye level.
Black-bord figures (remembering actual activities ). Students equipped with thin laptop-drawing-bord and mobil internet connection (ipod), controll enthusiastic the verity of my homepage and blog-site at once. They work!
First sketch of sujet figue (objects volume plus area in-between). Balance of picture plane mosaics.
Second stage shows start of gradually observed local contrasts. Background of drapery is indispensable. Feltpen demo pages by mb.Initial stages of the next framing picture of sujet still life (nuts and figues). Colored chalks, gray base. Correcting red layer over laps black web. Take care of background’s drapery! Every wrinkle counts.Teaching is continuousely followed by tace-pao-presentation of sketches on the spot and some printed stuff earlier (Pages of my Object Drawing booklet, 2009)

Today: composition, tones, shadows, local contrasts, realistic observation of small objects – material rendering, surface subdivision, tone difference of colors, etc.
At the end of the class students show up their drawings: task completed!
